Midnight in Paris

Woody Allen can be like Marmite, but whether you like him or you dislike him, his latest film might be worth shelling out some money for the cinema this week.

TRC reluctantly went to see Midnight in Paris –we were of the dislike him variety – and immediately fell instep with an unbelievable yet engaging comedic tale of great imagination.

Owen Wilson plays a writer, unable to get his manuscript off the ground, but while on a business trip with his fiancé’s family in Paris, he manages to lose himself in the early 20th century world of literary greats such as Ernest Hemingway and legendary painters like Pablo Picasso.

The cast members including Rachel McAdams, Adrien Brody and even first lady of France Carli Bruni, who all combine to make an effective potion of humour and charm.

Midnight in Paris is out on the 6th October
